The Gorge

Perfect fall day looking at Vista House, the Colombia River, Oregon and Washington. The famous waterfalls are in the cliffs on the right. Beacon Rock far in the distance. Time to go for a hike! The same day I shot my " Latourel Energy " photo.

Multnomah Falls - print only

Maximum water. Full Power. Top to bottom. Nobody there. Difficult shot to get with no one on the bridge. I pre-meditated the shot, I wanted this exact image. It was worth doing right. Years later a shaman told me there are many spirits in this photo. You can see faces in the cliffs. Those are the spirits. She said the photo is " powerful ! " Popular and well loved photo for many.

Latourel Energy

The columnar basalt and bright moss make an excellent background. Time exposure in low light. The water was so straight and graceful, I thought I could get this effect. It came out even better than expected. All done with film. Good intentions can bring surprisingly good results. " To the mind that is still, the whole universe surrenders " - Lao Tzu.

Tunnel Falls - trail

Wide angle from the farthest out viewpoint, before the trail winds back around. Rainbow in the middle. The height of summer and just an amazing place. Dark shadows of Gorge cliffs, and the brilliant green in the sun.

Absolutely gorgeous Tunnel Falls radiates rainbows, mist, and symphonic sounds as we chill at the bottom soaking in the stunning beauty.

Inside Tunnel Falls

Getting close on the path. The tunnel leads through the raging waterfall. The path, the greenery, the mist, the sound. Just awesome. The peak of summer glory radiance.

Art Backs

All my art has writing on the back. Short, long, poetry, sketches, quotes. It changes over time. Putting out some messages, history, stories, websites, or fun. Sometimes I get rolling in the flow, and photos can come with very original poetry. Rarely, I write on the front. This has been a fun thing over the years and the great response from people keeps it evolving. Sometimes my booth feels like a library with all the reading going on. I take pride in making original, personal, signed art, not mass produced cheap things. Anything personally signed means more, and is worth more, as the years go by. It's important to me as an artist to put out a message, not just sell pretty pictures.

Photographs are not attached to boards. Frame both sides if you like. Some do.
